Because the solubility of ammonia in lubricating oil is very small, it is easy for ammonia to form an oil film on the surface of the pipes and heat exchangers of the refrigeration device, which affects the heat transfer effect of the heat exchange equipment Therefore, an oil separator must be installed in the long ammonia refrigerant device to separate the lubricating oil in the gas and reduce the chance of the lubricating oil entering the condenser and evaporator.

Ammonia has a strong pungent odor, so leakage is easy to find. Ammonia is very soluble in water, and soapy water cannot be used to detect leaks. Use phenolphthalein reagent or test paper to detect leaks by taking advantage of the characteristics of ammonia as an alkaline substance!
