Can you distinguish between real and fake refrigerants easily?

Also known as refrigerants, deicing agents, and refrigerants, they are the intermediary substances used in various heat engines to complete energy conversion. These substances usually use reversible phase transitions (such as gas-liquid phase transitions) to increase power. Such as the steam in the steam engine, the snow in the refrigerant, etc. When a general steam engine is working, it releases the heat energy of the steam and converts it into mechanical energy to generate motive power; while the refrigerant of the refrigerant is used to transfer the heat from the low temperature to the high temperature.

2. How should we distinguish the authenticity of the refrigerant?

Starting from R22

R22, CHCLF2, is a pure substance with a purity of at least 99%. However, the counterfeit R22 currently on the market contains other corrosive substances such as methyl chloride, and the content is relatively high. Monochloromethane is highly corrosive and will cause serious corrosion to the compressor of the refrigeration unit, resulting in the scrap of the compressor.

When the inferior refrigerant touches the foam, the foam will gradually be corroded and dissolved; this phenomenon will not occur with the genuine R22 refrigerant.

For other refrigerants, we can use the following methods to make a simple judgment:

Method 1

Turn the refrigerant tank upside down and release a small amount of refrigerant onto a piece of white paper; if there are obvious impurities or liquid water on the white paper, it means that the refrigerant is of poor quality and it is not recommended to use it.

Method 2

Connect the pressure gauge to test the pressure of the refrigerant bottle, and check whether the pressure in the bottle is within the normal range by comparing it with the refrigerant temperature and pressure characteristic table; If the pressure is obviously abnormal, it is not recommended.

Method 3

When the refrigerant is halfway used, test the pressure in the bottle again. For a single-component refrigerant such as R22, the two measured bottle pressure values u200bu200bshould be very close. If the refrigerant is a low-quality refrigerant, usually mixed with multiple components, after the refrigerant in the bottle is used, due to the change of the composition ratio, the pressure in the bottle usually has a large difference. If such a phenomenon is encountered, it is recommended to stop the The use of refrigerant, and the refrigerant that has been injected into the system should be emptied in time to avoid pollution to the system.

Method 4

In the system debugging and operation stage, if the following abnormal phenomena are found, it is recommended to check the purity of the refrigerant in the system and discharge it from the system Whether the refrigerant is inferior.

(1) The refrigeration capacity of the system is obviously insufficient and after inspection, no other abnormal conditions are found, the refrigerant needs to be paid attention to;

(2) When the system dryer, filter or expansion valve is clogged, and the clogging is yellow-brown wax-like or black sludge-like foreign matter, pay attention to the refrigerant;

( 3) Abnormal high or low pressure or temperature occurs during the operation of the system, or when the system is shut down, the balance pressure of the system is abnormal, and the refrigerant needs to be checked.

For the normal operation of the unit, protect the system and refuse to use inferior refrigerants.
