The ODP value of R407c is zero and the GWP value is higher. It is close to the boiling point of R22. Under standard atmospheric pressure, its boiling point is -43.4~36.1℃. That is, the temperature slips from -36.1°C to -43.4°C. But when used in air conditioning systems, its vapor pressure is 10% higher than R22. Under air-conditioning conditions, the refrigeration capacity per unit volume and the refrigeration coefficient are 5% lower than R22; while under low temperature conditions, although the refrigeration coefficient does not change much, the refrigeration capacity per unit volume is 20% lower. R407c has poor heat transfer performance, which directly affects the change of refrigerant. R407c is not miscible with mineral lubricants, but can be dissolved in polyester synthetic lubricants. There are higher requirements for drying.

Wide application of R407c refrigerant

As a medium and high temperature refrigerant widely used today, R-407C is mainly used in household air conditioners and small and medium commercial air conditioners. (Small and medium unit air conditioners, household central air conditioners, multi-line), mobile air conditioners (car air conditioners, etc.), dehumidifiers, refrigeration dryers, marine refrigeration equipment, industrial refrigeration equipment and other refrigeration equipment.

Filling of R407c refrigerant

Since the refrigerant R407c is a mixed non-azeotropic working fluid, in order to ensure that its mixed composition does not change, so R407C The refrigerant must be charged in a liquid state. The operation will be relatively complicated. The steps to add R407c refrigerant correctly are as follows:

(1) First install the manifold barometer, connect one end of the green hose to the middle of the pressure gauge, and the other end to the vacuum pump.

(2) Open the valves on the high pressure side of the manifold pressure gauge and the two sides of the mortgage test, turn on the vacuum pump to evacuate, and evacuate until the low pressure side of the manifold pressure gauge shows 750mmHg or higher, keep 750mmHg or more High display pressure, vacuum for 10min.

(3) Close the valves on both sides of the high pressure side and low pressure side of the manifold barometer, and turn off the vacuum pump. Note: If the valves on both sides (high pressure side and low pressure side) are open when the vacuum pump is turned off, air will enter the air conditioning system.

(4) Check system tightness: After the vacuum pump stops, the valves on both sides of the high pressure and low pressure are closed for 5 minutes, and the reading of the manifold pressure gauge should remain unchanged. Tip: If the display pressure increases, there is air entering the air conditioning system. Check the connection status of the O-ring and the air conditioning system. Note: If the vacuum is insufficient, the moisture in the air-conditioning pipes will freeze, which will hinder the flow of R407c refrigerant and cause rust on the air-conditioning system.
